Jackson Township to Add New Amphitheater in North Park

Monday, April 30, 2018

Jackson Township, in collaboration with the library, county parks and Jackson Local Schools, will be developing a new amphitheater in North Park to bring the community together. This will offer space for large events, with lawn-style seating for 2,000 to 2,500 people. It is designed to be open so that it feels more like a park and less like a formal venue.

The project includes new tennis courts, bathroom buildings and recreational areas with lawn games such as cornhole and bocce. The existing basketball courts and a skate park area will be relocated.

Construction of this project is looking to start in June.
