SUSTAINABILITY

SoL Harris/Day Architecture is a strong proponent of green architecture and sustainable design. The firm is a member of the U.S. Green Building Council and has seven fully LEED Accredited Professionals, including architects,  interior designer and construction managers.

At SoL Harris/Day, our sustainable design attempts to reduce the collective environmental impacts during the production of building components and during the construction phase, as well as during the lifecycle of our buildings. Our design practice considers efficiency of heating and cooling systems, alternative energy sources, appropriate building siting, reused or recycled building materials, on-site power generation, rainwater harvesting and on-site waste management such as green roofs that filter and control stormwater runoff.

We design with sustainable living in mind. SoL Harris/Day Architecture designs for the "human element" - how people react, respond and realize their potential in their built environment. It's about designing and creating a "people-centered environment" that inspires its inhabitants to perform at their highest level. Thus, by designing for both People and Life, we create "high performance" sustainable buildings that are highly productive and energy efficient.

SoL Harris/Day Architecture is currently designing several LEED Certified building projects.
