Stark State Technology Center

Location

North Canton, Ohio

Client Name

Stark State College

Project Description

The project for the new 16,000 sf Timken Technology and Test Center began with the development of the Master Plan for the site to determine the building location. From there, a new 2-story research and development center was designed and developed for a private/public partnership with Stark State College and The Timken Company.

With a goal of LEED Silver certification, the design for the facility integrated an overhead crane and testing equipment foundations. Also included in the building layout are office space, a classroom, a conference room and a high bay area with a special test machine for bearings used in wind turbines.

The designs were developed by combining Stark State's facilities planning department standards, compliance with the Stark County Port Authority and the strategic corporate partner's goals.
DESIGNED FOR PEOPLE... DESIGNED FOR LIFE.
