Outside of work…
My life outside of work is generally centered around my family, friends and the outdoors. I enjoy gardening and do a lot of canning every year. I love to travel and explore new places both near and far with my husband, Joe and daughters, Bri & Evie. We go camping often and also like to go skiing.

What you don’t know about me…
I spent two summers working on a commercial fishing boat in Alaska. It was an amazing opportunity to experience the beauty of the state and to learn about the ecological management of the fisheries.

How I got my bragging rights…
I went to Kent State University and earned a Bachelor of Science in 2004 followed by a Bachelor of Architecture in 2005. While in college, I worked in the KSU Office of the University Architect. I also worked at a small firm in Warren, OH right after ¬college before coming to work for SoL Harris/Day.

How I give back…
I volunteer with Habitat for Humanity and the Akron Canton Regional Foodbank. I helped develop the plans for Habitat Stark to build their first LEED home which was completed in 2011.  I was a team member for our SoL CANstruction team in 2009, 2011, 2013, 2014, and 2015. I also serve on the Board and am a past President for the AIA - Akron Chapter.

Who molded me into the person I am…
My mom is the biggest influence in my life because she taught me to work hard, to be kind and has always been supportive of me and my dreams.

Architecture that inspires me…
It is hard to choose one favorite building or architect but lately I’ve been reflecting on the sculptural simplicity of the Barcelona Pavilion by Mies van der Rohe.
