Outside of work…
I enjoy spending the majority of my time reading, home remodeling, or doing anything outside. I recently gave paddle boarding a go and fell in love, so you’ll be finding me out on the water whenever possible.

What you don’t know about me…
Back in the day I was really into creative writing. I used a website called Glogster that allowed you to create illustrations with graphics, pictures, and words. I won a few contests held on the site and I was actually fairly popular for my writings.

I can also touch my elbows together behind my back, which I guess is rare.

How I got my bragging rights…
I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Interior Design from Kent State University in May 2016. I graduated summa cum laude and was awarded with the bronze medal of distinction by the architectural honor society Tau Sigma Delta. I spent a semester of my studies in Florence, Italy and it was worth every penny!

How I give back…
My volunteer work started back in high school where I would volunteer time cleaning local parks and help upkeep historic buildings. At Kent I served on the professional architecture fraternity Alpha Rho Chi’s board as Secretary. With the organization, I gave time to the community through various volunteering opportunities. I am looking forward to continuing my involvement with SHD as my springboard.

Who molded me into the person I am…
My dad, absolutely. He is such a giving and patient person that just goes with the flow of life. Since I was little, I’ve watched him tinker with anything and everything he can get his hands on. I think watching him all those years gave me my desire to learn something about everything and the patience to do so.

Architecture that inspires me…
When I stepped foot in the Bountalenti Grotto in Florence I was overcome by such an emotion from the story the architecture is telling. Same goes for the Sagrada Familia; the feeling given by the building is so powerful.
